How is it Going;
This song "Ground Zero" is the final song on my new album "Perfect Storm" released in May 18. This whole package was created in a a little over one years time and I enjoyed every step of the process along the way. This particular song was arranged after I listened very carefully to music I currently like already out there in the world. As I listened, I methodically picked apart the structure of some of my favorites (deep listening). I then, very carefully, focused on some of the sound tones and effects I liked in certain songs selected. I attempted to emulate and construct some of the sounds via synth design techniques and a little bit of sampling. I could go into a lot more detail but I will not bore you. Again, the most important thing is the "song" itself; melodies, lyrics and rhythms. Enjoy the music friends and thank you for listening.
My posts have been few and far between but this usually means my head is deep under the hood creating or mixing new stuff And that is exactly what has been going on over the last several months. Recently, I worked on a new song with old friends. This song is called "The Moment That Doesn't Exist" and was created and recorded in one day by Alan Schwartz, Ed Bejzak, Bill O'Driscoll and myself. Yes, you heard that right; it was created in one day. I am hopeful the song will be released over the next several months. I will provide a link to wherever the group "The Getup" decides to post it. This song will also be be available via most streaming services; so stay tuned.
