From the recording Courage of Fools

Collaborated with a Rising Star Pop Vocalist! (Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles)?
I wrote the sentence below over a year ago:

"……….brand new song in creation with a very traditional, simple acoustic guitar vibe; almost countryish but also not. I still have yet to lay down the vocal tracks on this and that is usually a daunting task for me. It has a working title of 93 Million Miles but that could change."

Well, the working title (drum roll) did not change; 93 Million Miles is the distance to the sun for all you adept at trivia. It has a slight country vibe but also more of a pop lean to my ears mainly because the singer who collaborated with me lifted the song up a notch.

I referenced vocals with the words "daunting task". That is still an accurate description. At the time of this song's creation I was experimenting with what is known as the "T-Pain Auto Tune Voice Effect". If you are familiar with Cher's song "Do You Believe In Love" you will know the Vox effect I am talking about.

Who Dave? Lead Vocal Collaboration

Think of any of your favorite male pop singers and he is better. His name is Jeffrey Husted…….he is the FEATURED Artist on this track! and my son.

Lyrics

93 Million Miles
David Husted
Feat. Jeffrey Husted

You could just turn-away and let them have their way
Tell us all the reasons why it's too late
Fall into that rage
A burning star of pain
and you may believe your crazy
You're not alone, we're all afraid

That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home
That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home

Can you take me to that refuge that feel's like a mother's grace
Can you burn away the madness in the light of day
Can you take me too that place?
I know it ain't been easy
To be that change, to be that peace today

That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home
That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home

Stand-up; gotta Stand-up
they'll be a sweet sunrise in the morning
Close your eyes and see

That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home
That heat, 93 million miles
That peace, come on home
