Song Reviews of the Week: Theme: Sports

“All Kinds Of Time” by Fountains of Wayne :This was a great find.  The song sounds so good. Nothing fancy, just a well put together composition. Love it.  Taking the vocals just out of reach of his range was appreciated and sounded good. I got all kinds of time for this song.

“Seven Sports for All” by China Crisis:  Do not think I am familiar with China Crisis.  The following grouping of letters appears before my mind's eye: ABC, OMD.   Bass was the star. Arrangement often pulsed between 2 chords a bit too square cornered but middle section bass riff (bridge?) kind of loosened the quantized bonds a bit…. not for long. This song is ok, felt the potential and waited, it just never quite got over the edge for me.

This round the song selections must in some way deal with, or reference, a sport or any of its components.

An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
