I Wrote a Love Letter Tonight

- My writing tends toward brooding, oblique introspection.
- I deliberately tried to write a pop song that was opposite these traits.
- I used a song called Amsterdam by a Guster as a reference.
- This song was released on my album It Takes One Drop February 11th, 2017.
- It ended up sounding like a song that could be used in a theatrical play like Grease or West Side Story.
- I cringe a bit and smile wide at the same time.
- I wish I had blended in my vocals more professionally but this is where I was at at the time and perhaps still am.
- Note-to-self: Continue to look for ways to get outside my usual creation constraints, chains and locked boxes.
