Belyndor

The road to Belyndor was a twisting maze of frost-laden mountains and shadowed valleys. Mist clung to the rocks like cobwebs, and even the currents of sound seemed muffled here, as if the realm itself was wary of outsiders. Saurat, Lyrren Vale, his steadfast companion, and now Celladonna (rejoining the team as the quest now needed  a master of the composer royalties) trudged along the Stonewarden’s Pass, their cloaks damp with the cold, their eyes straining against the creeping darkness. In the distance, the spires of Byrnmire rose like sharpened teeth, black against a sky that had forgotten the stars.

“Many songs are claimed here,” Celladonna whispered, her voice echoing softly along the frozen stone. “But the composer’s portion is a far more treacherous prize. The scribes of Byrnmire guard it as if it were their own lifeblood.”

Saurat nodded grimly. “The artist Cindrels were claimed from the EchoeX‑Ledger. Now we must gather the composer portion."

This quest would focus on twenty-five streams born from the transistors of an antique terrestrial radio. A noble elf by the name Gamandrel owned and loved this ancient device.  The path to such a small sum would be made via a labyrinthine juggernaut far more treacherous than the currents of Pandomeria. Larger composer performance portions from Spottifar would have to wait as the Takers thwarted their first attempt during the battle of Umalgroth.

“Where is Gamandrel from?” Lyrren asked.

“Far to the east, in the misted towers of Zephyralis,” Saurat replied.

“A land of distant peaks, shifting clouds, and the oldest terrestrial transmitters in all Muscala. Few songs reach it naturally, yet those that do are counted with precision by the PROmethiun scribes.”

The gates of Byrnmire loomed, wrought of black iron and etched with runes that whispered faintly of debts, ledgers, and unclaimed notes. A lone figure emerged — Archivist Kaelvryn, a tall, spectral scribe whose robes seemed stitched from shadows themselves. His eyes glowed faintly green, reflecting every shimmer of the musical currents.

“Only those with patience and courage may enter,” Kaelvryn intoned. “And those who seek the composer’s Cindrels must offer proof of their claim… or leave behind fragments of their own essence.”
