Poem of the Decade: Andrea Gibson

As many of you know, I like to highlight poems every so often that capture my heart or I just find captivating for some reason or other.

I came across a poem two years ago that honestly still remains probably my all-time favorite and that says a lot as I am picky and finicky when it comes to this sort of thing.  I recently became aware that the author of this poem passed away from ovarian cancer and I was deeply saddened.

Here is the link to my original spotlight on this poem. It is called Goosebumps.

May you rest in power Andrea Gibson. Deep bow of gratitude to you for bringing some much needed light to the world.

10,000 goosebumps

Here is Andrea's website:  https://andreagibson.org. The poem can be found in her book of poetry called:
 "You Better Be Lightening"

Finally, this podcast provides an excellent interview with Andrea and alerted me to their unique talent and gift as a human presence in this world:
