Quote of the Week: David Perrel

“Thin Places tend to be quiet.” - David Perrell

I must acknowledge Susan Cain for providing awareness of this quote. It was an odd phrase that made me double-take. I use this moment as a pointer to pause and ponder.  Thank You Susan.

Here is what the quote touches in me without getting woo woo:

…moments we don’t quite have secular language for, but instinctively recognize as important.

…experiences that feel worthy of silence, reverence, or memory—even without belief attached.

…moments when the usual boundaries of self soften and we feel unusually present, connected, or alive.

…times when experience feels heightened, as if we’re briefly touching the core of things.
