Word of the Day: Flump

Flump.

A wonderfully underused word.

Flump (verb or noun)

To fall, drop, or sit down heavily and somewhat awkwardly, usually with a soft, dull thud. It suggests a lack of grace or enthusiasm.

"After a long day at work, I flumped onto the couch, stared blankly at the television, and let the world carry on without me."
