I've been tinkering away in the music cave over the last couple of weekends and stumbled onto something pretty damn good. A groove that struts through the verse with plenty of attitude, then, believe it or not, bursts into full-blown pandemonium as the bandoneon joins the party to shred some riffs.
It's got attitude. It's got energy. It's got somewhere to go.
There's just one small detail missing: lyrics. Oh, and that little thing called a melodic vocal hook to bring the chorus home.
No big deal, right?
This is always the daunting part. Finding the words, discovering the melody, and somehow making it all feel inevitable, as though it couldn't have been any other way.
But that's the challenge, and I'm up for it. Time to put the songwriting hat back on and see where this thing takes me.
