Spotify packaged up my music stats into a cool info-graphic presentation which was fun to watch.  Interesting to see that Austria listened to my music more than any other country.  Any streams I do get are largely family, friends or word of mouth so I appreciate your love, support and company as I continue to create and share music.  Thank You!

Spotify "officially" released my latest song creation called "Little League". There was a glitch during the distribution phase that took two extra weeks to resolve. Oh well. Here it is now. The song is provided below along with some other songs that caught my ear this week. The playlist is a mix of mostly super well known artists but also a smattering of artists who are less well known.

During my musical journeying I have personally interacted with many DIY artists on Soundcloud and others who I am just good friends with. Some of them I feature here on this particular playlist along with the superstars. These folks have supported my music and encouraged me along the way. This makes them all Superstars in my book. A few Fridays ago, Bandcamp waived their there share of revenue to help artists impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Bandcamp community (people like you that like great music) went above and beyond, spending $4.3 million on music and merch in just 24 hours. It was an inspiring day, and Bandcamp received many requests to do it again, so they are going to do exactly that.  

On Friday, May 1st, they’re going to waive their revenue share again. Please consider checking out some music on this site.  If you find something you enjoy please consider supporting that artist you enjoyed by showing them some love.  Many artist are really struggling right now.  Thank You

Here is a "sip" from a new song I am working on {NEW SONG SNIPPET}.  Hopefully it will play for you.  I like the feel of it so far.  Nice little groove to it.  Layered on some drum beats and testing a little bit of synth .  It's rough going and slower than usual since I am using new recording software, but that is how things roll in this world sometimes isn't it?  The lyrics swimming around inside my brain are fuzzy but starting to coalesce too.

BTW: I just uploaded my complete art work, sketches and song lyrics for my first album "Loves Marrow".  Available if you download the entire album at davidhusted.com. This CD was dedicated to my mom who passed away in late  2013.  I love you and miss you mom.........Thank You all  and have a fantastic weekend........Dave

The album “In the Dust of this Planet” is now fully uploaded on my web site at davidhusted.com and available for free download (no strings).  This download comes with bonus material in the form of liner notes and lyrics.  I have made my first album “Love’s Marrow” available for free download as well (no strings).  You can also (optionally) acquire a hardcopy CD for $5 if you are interested via paypal.  The $5 goes mainly to cover the cost of CD creation, material cost and mailing fees.  Finally, I have used a company called cdbaby.com to distribute my music to retailers (e.g. Amazon, iTunes) and streaming services (e.g. Spotify, You Tube, iHeart Radio etc.).  Check them out if you are curious.
